- Forecasts future revenue and expenditures to help determine budgets for upcoming projects.
- Conducts researching and reporting on financial information, as well as monitoring financial movements within the market.
- Analyzing current and past financial data.
- Looking at current financial performance and identifying trends
- Prepare, review and distributes monthly financial departmental reports.
- Performs variance analysis on Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast Preparing reports on the above information and communicating the insights of these reports to the wider business
- Assist with establishing and monitoring departmental compliance with policies and procedures.
- Assignment of expense account coding and approval of expenditures. Preparation of journal entries.
- Assists with periodic internal controls audits and year-end external financial audit.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Maintains technical Consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans
- Suggesting budgets and improvements based on the above information.
- Performs all other duties as required, requested or needed.
- Bachelor's in Accounting or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience handling transactional accounting tasks in a public or privately held organization
- Previous experience working in ERP
- 2+ years experience with developing budgets/forecasts.
- Experience in engineering and manufacturing environment preferred
- Detail-oriented, focus on accuracy, self-motivated.
- Good problem solver with ability to identify root cause of the problem.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. Citizens.
- MBA or CPA desired but not mandatory.
