    Summary

    As a daycare teacher, your primary responsibility is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years old. You will play a crucial role in their early development by implementing age-appropriate activities, promoting social and emotions growth, and ensure their overall well-being.

    Duties

    Childcare and Supervision:
    • Create a safe and secure environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
    • Supervise and monitor children at all times, ensuring their safety during indoor and outdoor activities.
    • Attend to children's basic needs, including feeding and diapering.

    Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
    • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to promote development.
    • Foster a love for learning through engaging and interactive experiences.
    • Provide opportunities for creative expression, sensory exploration, and problem solving.

    Communication and Collaboration:
    • Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians and staff, providing regular updates on their child's progress and well-being.
    • Collaborate with other daycare staff to ensure a supportive environment for children.
    • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
    Requirements
    • Communication skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
    • Patience and Empathy: Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy and a passion for working with young children.
    • CPR Certification: Possession of First Aid and CPR certification for infant and toddlers (or willingness to obtain certificate within 30 days of starting.)
    Nice To Haves
    • Experience: Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
    • Level 7 on the Wisconsin Registry or higher (this makes you teacher qualified) or be willing to complete 3 booklet classes to become teacher certified.
    • Familiarity with child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods.
