Cloud EnablementThe Cloud Enablement Team within Core Engineering is responsible for enabling the use of public cloud services, as well as infrastructure management practices within the firm.

You will be working as part of a global, multidisciplinary team responsible for researching, architecting, and building cutting-edge tools, systems and best practices for Engineers across Goldman Sachs.

We are at an early stage of modernizing our application stacks around cloud native principles, and migrating business workloads to the cloud.

You will be directly helping to implement and influence technology strategies that will give our business a competitive edge.
This role can be made available in India (Blr) or Singapore as well.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIALYou are a hands on Cloud engineer who will focus on migrating workloads to the public cloudYou have working knowledge of AWS services and design principlesYou thrive in a multi-project environment, dealing with different business units and teams to understand their challenges and goals in moving to the public cloudYou are experienced in architecting and deploying multi-tiered applications which are highly available, resilient, with secure cloud architecturesYou proactively manage issues and risks through the delivery lifecycleYou have exceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive atcreative and commercial solutionsYou possess a strong desire to learn and contribute solutions and ideas to a broad teamYou are independent and comfortable in a fast paced, ambiguous and often multi-directional work environmentManage multiple tasks and use sound judgment when prioritizingCollaborate with a globally-distributed cross functional team in building customer-centric productsBuild services to integrate on-premises systems with public cloud providers and software libraries to provideconsistent, secure, and ready-to-consume patterns for application development teams using public cloud servicesCollaborate across teams on feature design and problem solvingManage the full lifecycle of software components, from requirements through design, testing, development,release and demisePartner with colleagues from across Engineering to ensure an outstanding, useable, and unobtrusive experiencefor development teams building and deploying their applications and infrastructureHelp to communicate and promote best practices for public cloud application development and infrastructuremanagement across the firmSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FORMinimum 6 years of relevant professional experience (more experienced professionals are desired) with at least 2+ years of familiarity with AWS servicesB.S.

or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)Familiarity with disciplines of enterprise software development such as configuration and release management, source code and version controls along with operating considerations such as monitoringSkilled in implementing architectural governancePracticed in Javascript / Typescript / NodeProficient using relational and NoSQL database technologiesExperience building transactional systems and strong understanding of software architectureStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to establish trusted partnerships with product leads, and executive level stakeholdersComfort with agile operating modelsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Cloud migrationsUnderstanding of Solution Engineering practicesFluency in AWS CDK, Typescript, NPM, CloudFormation
