DutiesModify equipment, programs, dies, fixtures and gauges.
Repair equipment, programs, dies, fixtures and gaugesMaintain equipment, programs, dies, fixtures and gauges.
Perform general machining operations andlearn how to operate all machines in the tool room safely and efficiently.
Introduction to Cad/Cam Software.
Basic Knowledge of Computers and how they work and documentation needs.
Level of Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBasic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Basic knowledge of Stamping Dies.
Basic knowledge of measuring instruments.
Basic knowledge of working properties of most metals.
Basic knowledge of heat-treat processes.
Basic knowledge of CNC programming.
Basic knowledge of CAM software.
Basic knowledge of CAD software.
Basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
Basic knowledge of operation of tool room equipment.
Basic knowledge of MRPII.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in a team environment as a positive member.
Ability to plan and schedule work to efficiently move from one task to the next.
Ability to multitask and be proficiant at problem solving.
Ability to learn from Senior ToolMakers and always be open to advice.
Ability to be Precise, Patient and Safe to develop ToolRoom Skills.

Formal Education2-year Tech College or High school diploma and Internal Malco Apprenticeship Program or equivalentTool and Die certificate or equivalent, or Apprenticeship.0 to 2 years minimum as Toolmaker in Metal Stamping is preferred.
