    Daisy Ingraham Elementary School is a high performing elementary school with a student population of 300 students in grades PreK-5.     Westbrook Public Schools is seeking an exceptional, experienced principal who is committed to working closely with our close-knit community to deliver an exceptional education that empowers every student to explore their passion and purpose.
    The ideal candidate is an experienced school leader who demonstrates an uncompromising commitment to excellence in service to the youth and families of Westbrook and lives fully the Westbrook mission to deliver an exceptional education for all students. The ideal candidate is a strong and supportive instructional leader, skilled in using data to inform decision-making and skilled at building the instructional capacity of others, including teacher leaders and support staff, to deliver high-quality instruction and a positive learning experience in every learning space for every child every day.

    The new Daisy Ingraham Elementary Principal will embrace and lead our elementary school community to achieve our five major district priorities:

    • Ensuring School Facilities and Grounds Reflect Community Pride in Our Schools and Community Commitment to Health, Safety, and Learning
    A minimum three years of successful supervisory or building-level administrative experience and a minimum of five years of exceptional elementary teaching experiences are highly preferred. CT Certification Endorsement 092 (Intermediate Administration or Supervision) is required. Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is not required, but the willingness to learn is highly desirable in the new principal.
    Qualified candidates are asked to submit a letter of interest, resume, evidence of Connecticut certification (092) Intermediate Administrator and Supervisor, college transcripts, and three letters of recommendation to Dr. Kristina J. Martineau, Westbrook Superintendent of Schools, via portal no later than March 1,
    The successful candidate will be offered a multi-year, regionally competitive contract with a start date of July 1, 2026.
