    POSITION DETAILS

    Department: Hospitalist

    Location: Lewisburg, PA

    Typical Work Schedule: Nights (Monday - Sunday, 7pm-7am) (rotating weekends and holidays)

    Primary Shift: Shift 3

    Work Type: 1.0 FTE (full-time, 80 hours biweekly)

    Exempt: Yes ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
    • Full-time AP to work evening/night (Tentative 7pm to 7am) on a 7 days on/7 days model with additional flexibility rotating coverage with partner AP.
    • Work alongside in house Hospitalist attending who runs all codes and rapid responses.
    • Cover Med-Surg only, No Critical Care coverage
    • No Procedures required
    • Join well-established group with 12+ years of hospitalist experience in collegial work environment w/ balanced lifestyle in acute setting.
    • Hospitalist group includes a Critical Care specialist, Geriatrician, and a Palliative Care specialist; plus great specialty support services on site and at nearby tertiary care center.
    • Requirements: Graduate of an accredited CRNP or PA program with Pennsylvania license. Prior experience in Hospitalist Medicine a plus.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Physician Assistant
    1. Two year degree in an appropriate area of study (as recognized by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.)
    2. Must have State Physician Assistant Certification, accomplished through completion of Board approved apprenticeship and evaluation or graduation from Board approved P.A. program.
    3. Satisfactory completion of exam (given by National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants) or must have completed necessary requirements to take test and be planning to do so.
    4. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse clearance and a FBI criminal history check required.
    5. Must be CPR certified. Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
    1. Must be a registered nurse licenses in state of Pennsylvania, who has successfully completed a formal nurse practitioner program approved by a national accrediting agency.
    2. Certified by a national certified organization recognized by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
    3. Three years experience as a nurse practitioner required, some of which may have to be in a specific clinical area. Counseling experience desirable.
    4. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse clearance and a FBI criminal history check required.
    4. Must be CPR certified. WORKING CONDITIONS
    - Good manual dexterity and motor coordination to operate a variety of office equipment.
    - Physical Demands are light involving walking and sitting throughout the day.
    - Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively.
    - Works in well lighted and ventilated areas.
    - Subject to infectious diseases.
    - Subject to injury from confused, combative patients, families and visitors.
    - Subject to frequent interruptions.
