    NEW RESTAURANT OPENING – NAMI LAKE NONA

    Nami is discreetly tucked away at Lake Nona Wave Hotel, adjacent to the Lake Nona Sculpture Garden, a distinguished selection of sculptures from one of the world's largest private art collections. Nami's intimate and exclusive 10-seat omakase counter will offer a modern approach to the traditional chef-curated experience. An energetic cocktail bar and dining room will offer a different experience, with thoughtfully prepared menus that juxtapose precise technique with playful nuances to offer Nami's interpretive take on Japanese ingredients and flavors.     POSITION SUMMARY

    The Bartender is responsible for delivering memorable hospitality to our guests with genuine and personable connections and engaging service from the initial greeting to their departure. As a Bartender, it is your responsibility to seek to understand the guest's needs while preparing perfect beverages made to our standards in a timely manner.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards
  • Deliver genuine hospitality to and establish emotional connections with our guests
  • Contribute to the overall teamwork and success of the restaurant
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Determine guests needs while making the appropriate recommendations and offerings to enhance the dining experience
  • Presents the best we have to offer, never selling the guest anything
  • Prepares drink orders for guests and servers according to recipes in a timely manner
  • Execute beverage tray service Answer guest questions regarding food and beverage offerings
  • Adhere to all alcohol awareness procedures
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and alert a manager immediately
  • Process payments and handle cash professionally and accurately
  • Communicate with managers and hosts regarding table availability and key table updates
  • Follow up with guests about their meal and dining experience to ensure great guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Demonstrate professional and gracious demeanor at all times
  • Perform all opening, running, and closing duties accurately
  • Perform any job function requested by the management team

    • Requirements

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Education: High School; able to communicate (speak, read, and write) in English

    Experience: Previous hospitality experience is preferred

    Computer Skills: Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system

    Certificates & Licenses: N/A

    Other Requirements: Must meet the local, legal minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages; coordination skills that allow proper pouring and carrying of several drinks and plates at the same time
