Job DescriptionLouisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking experienced Operators and Foremen specialized in Horizontal and Directional Drilling and gas distribution to join our team.
Essential Duties:
• Perform work assignments on customer premises, ensuring professional interactions and excellent customer relations.
• Respond to customer inquiries concerning company policies and procedures; explain the scope of work performed.
• Identify and transport necessary tools, materials, and equipment for assignments.
• Use navigation tools like maps and GPS to locate sites.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment, including obtaining a CDL within 18 months if necessary.
• Install, maintain, and manage natural gas facilities as part of an Operations and Maintenance crew.
• Ensure safety and traffic control in work zones.
• Execute site preparation, restoration, and maintenance of rights of way.
• Develop skills in operating heavy machinery and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Undertake tasks like corrosion inspection, pipe threading and cutting, plastic pipe fusion, and facility locates.
• Document work processes and maintain records accurately and timely.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff on proper procedures.
Requirements/Skills:
• Must possess a valid Class D driver's license with a satisfactory driving record; obtaining a CDL is encouraged.
• Good physical fitness to perform strenuous activities and operate machinery.
• Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and follow detailed instructions.
• Experience in utilities construction, with proficiency in mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact daily with customers and team members.
• Honesty, reliability, and professionalism must be demonstrated consistently.
Physical Requirements:
• Capable of working outdoors in adverse conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks such as digging, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
• Exposure to insects, animals, and varying weather conditions; must be able to wear protective gear as needed.
