    Description
    The Tony Hotel South Beach is seeking an experienced professional Line Cook for our beautiful Restaurant in Miami Beach. The Line Cook needs to be able to execute menu items and be an efficient expediter.


    The ideal candidate must have a warm attitude, excellent kitchen/restaurant experience, exceptional customer service & interpersonal skills, uphold professional working relationships with other team members, and maintain composure while under stress.

    Compensation:

    $20.00 / an hour


    Essential Functions:


    • Display thorough knowledge of our menus and dishes.
    • Prepare food needed in restaurants, banquets, and events.
    • Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare for service.
    • Inform the Kitchen manager in advance of possible shortages.
    • Weigh and measure ingredients for cooking.
    • Prepare various foods, including waffles, eggs, pancakes, quiches, and vegetables.
    • Prepare sauces and garnishes for the allocated station.
    • Prepare food in accordance with working menus, recipe cards, and photos and in keeping with the standards of
    the establishment.


    • Taste all food items for quality purposes before serving.
    • Use food preparation tools following manufacturers' instructions.
    • Cover, date, and correctly store all food items per safe food-handling procedures.
    • Close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations.
    • Maintain an organized and sanitized work area at all times.
    • Display knowledge and follow all procedures in sanitation and proper food handling.
    Requirements


    Requirements:


    • Line Cook experience is a must.
    • Food Safety Certification.
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
    • (2) years previous line cook experience preferred.
    • Ability to walk and stand in heat and moisture for long periods of time.
