- Performing pipe systems assembly, layout, installation, and maintenance on steam, fluid, or gas systems
- Working on various components such as pipe, flanges, supports, valves, gauges, hangars, and angles
- Working in different construction or maintenance areas including buildings, outdoor and indoor structures, tanks, and boilers
- Operating in underground areas and at elevated heights
- Passing a REPCON Pipefitter Assessment
- Passing a REPCON Basic Rigging Assessment, or NCCER certification
- Holding a current Basic Orientation Plus (Safety Council card) or within months expiration
- Having a current TWIC Card
- Possessing at least three years of experience in the field
- Showing a history and experience in industrial construction and maintenance work
- Interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and technical manuals accurately
- Demonstrating knowledge of pipe fitting processes for industrial piping and boilers
- Having strong problem-solving skills and reading comprehension
- Working well in a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Exhibiting good communication skills with colleagues and supervisors
- Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting
- Manual dexterity for precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls
- Using arms and hands for various tasks
- Lifting and moving objects up to a certain weight
- Operating at heights and using fall protection
- Utilizing vision abilities effectively
- Working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Wearing personal protective equipment
