    Description

    Judge Direct Placement is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager in the Fort Collins, CO area.

    Responsibilities:

    • Establish business processes and department objectives.
    • Communicate with management at all levels concerning initiatives and programs.
    • Analyze crop reports, supply demand data, price trends, and market factors for assigned commodities.
    • Lead Administrative Personnel and Procurement Managers, who must have expert knowledge of procurement for different company divisions.
    • Manage $2 billion in annual purchases.
    • Direct, mentor, and supervise buyers and assistants according to company goals.
    • Ensure procurement of a wide range of materials and services for various operations.
    • Collaborate with suppliers, trade groups, and government agencies on purchases.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers to become a top customer.
    • Engage in both cash purchases and hedging to maintain product quality standards at the lowest cost.
    • Adhere to Procurement Director's standards and set a positive example.
    • Ensure department meets company's criteria.
    • Maintain key internal and external relationships for business connections.
    • Ensure Procurement Team achieves or surpasses financial objectives.
    • Supervise and support direct reports in their duties.
    • Provide feedback to direct reports post performance reviews.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field.
    • 10 to 15 years of procurement experience.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong negotiation and diplomacy skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office, Business Objects, and Gateway.
    • Team management skills (delegation, supervision).
    • Attention to detail.
    • Advanced planning and organizing abilities.
    • Capable of making decisions, implementing changes, and taking managed risks.
    • Managed over a $250,000,000 budget previously.
    • Familiarity with RFX tools, processes, and e-auctions.
    • Experience in developing and executing buying strategies.
