    Extreme Networks has an immediate need for a seasoned Trade Compliance Manager.

    Our need in this discipline is a direct result of growth in our business and the associated transformation of our global Supply Chain operations.

    This newly created position within the Global Trade Compliance team will primarily focus on special projects and initiatives supporting the Supply Chain and its efforts to improve the overall business processes.

    Included in this will be our new initiative to implement an effective a Duty Drawback program with our Duty Drawback Provider.

    This initiative includes with our Accounting, IT, Supply Chain and Trade Compliance organizations to implement this new process.

    An understanding and ability to link critical business data, business process, import/export data within our systems and our 3PL providers will critical for the initiative.

    Further considerations are the on-going challenges associated with our Global Trade Compliance processes and the constant fine tuning needed as new products are released and or the regulatory environment changes.

    Understanding aspects such as effective HTS code classification and other product categories during our new product introductions will be a key effort in this approach.

    This newly created position will report to the Sr.

    Manager of Global Trade Compliance and will be responsible for helping to design and implement Trade Compliance processes as a senior member of this team.

    Ensuring compliance with the newly created US Tariff regulations and an effective Drawback Program in the constant changing regulatory landscape of duty outlay and drawback is a critical aspect of this position.

    Extreme Networks operates in a high volume fully integrated 3PL environment so leveraging our technology and systems integration with our Duty Drawback provider will be key for success.

    Extreme Networks is expected to payout over $42m USD annually in duty with an expected drawback of approximately $25m USD based on our Export sales.

    So this is a vital and important balance sheet and cash flow aspect of the company's accounting and finances.

    This visible position is expected to understand and anticipate the requirements of a global inbound US supply chain along with the challenges of our diverse global customer base.

    Ability to analyze needs and conditions within the businesses of Extreme Networks as it relates to Trade Compliance.

    This position is responsible for identifying, implementing and maintaining operational efficiencies with a particular emphasis on Compliance within our Trade Control business processes, centralized brokerage and duty drawback effectiveness.

    Creating the ability for Extreme Networks to be agile and cost competitive in this effort is an important success factor.


    Key Areas of Responsibility & Impact:

    Design, develop, implement and manage overall duty drawback program with Extreme Networks selected Drawback Provider.
    ·


    Coordinate and collaborate with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Supply Chain, IT, Trade Compliance and 3PLs to ensure success of our Compliance processes.

    ·

    Participate in key Supply Chain projects and initiatives as it relates to Trade Compliance
    ·

    Keep abreast of regulatory environment for opportunities to reduce duty outlay and improve drawback processes.
    ·

    Develop reporting processes to ensure all internal stakeholders understand Duty Drawback program success and challenges.
    ·

    Partner with Finance disciplines to ensure on-going alignment and factors for success of the duty drawback program
    ·

    Manage Duty Drawback provider to ensure their success, business methods/protocols to secure duty refunds.
    ·

    Help guide internal stakeholders to understand opportunities to improve both Duty Drawback and means or initiatives to properly avoid duty outlay
    ·

    Support effective import clearance processes with brokers to ensure later drawback success
    ·

    Ability to respond to requests for information from US Government Customs & Border Protection (CBP) and US Customs
    ·

    Verifies overall systems methods for Import documentation to ensure proper classification
    ·

    Identifies improvements and changes to existing processes based on achieving efficient compliance processes.
    ·


    Maintains professional competence in compliance of applicable laws, and membership in industry group such as AAEI (American Association of Exporters & Importers).

    ·

    Knowledge of automated trade programs managing classifications and Denied Party Screening
    ·

    Assists with other Trade Compliance related assignments and projects as needed.

    Qualifications:
    ·

    Bachelor's Degree is with preferred focus in Supply Chain, Accounting or Regulatory Compliance
    ·

    US Customs Broker License preferred but not required
    ·

    5+ years of experience in Trade Compliance
    ·

    Experience in Compliance auditing of Trade Compliance methods/process
    ·

    Excellent analytical skills with ability to audit related processes, systems and data.
    ·

    Experience in overall compliance processes, risk assessments and requirements.
    ·

    Experience with Customs Laws and Regulations (19CFR & Classification)
    ·

    Experience with integrated IT methods with 3Pls, Brokerage providers.
    ·

    Good working knowledge of Oracle or similar enterprise class ERP system
    ·

    Experience in Project Management in a systems integrated environment
    ·

    Excellent communication skills
    ·

    Location can be our Salem, NH site (near Boston, MA) Salary based on experience 170,000
