Job summary
Under limited supervision position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the swimming pool. Includes managing staff schedule training new and returning staff supervising lifeguards pool admissions staff and swim lesson instructors Enforcing facility safety rules and policies inspecting equipment and facility for potential damage and safety issues requesting repairs maintenance when necessary Complete pool operator duties hourly Complete daily records reports In addition may be scheduled as a swim lesson instructor on a substitute basis Responsibilities include all matters pertaining to business management pool safety directing scheduling supervising the pool staff sanitation Reports to the Special Events Leisure Programmer or Designee Must be available to work during summer season mid-May through Labor Day weekend Working approximately hours per week as posted schedule permitsQualifications
- Graduation from High School or any equivalent combination of experience training which provides required knowledge skills abilities
- Must possess valid certification in ARC Lifeguard Training CPR for Professional Rescuer CPR First Aid AED
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification WSI preferred Experience teaching swim lessons coaching swim team preferred Must complete in-house swim lesson instructor training upon hire
