    We are currently looking for our newest Registered Respiratory Therapist to work at Wesley Chapel BayCare Hospital.

    Job Summary:

    The Registered Respiratory Therapist II is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
    • Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
    • Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care.

    Certification and Licensures Required:

    • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist License)
    • Active NBRC Credential for RRT
    • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months of start date
    • ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months of start date
    • PALS (Pediatric) - within 6 months of start date

    Education Required:

    • Technical Respiratory Therapy Degree
    • Associates Degree - Respiratory Therapy

    Experience Required:

    • 6 months minimum

    • Clinical and computer skills appropriate to the position

    • Critical thinkings skills
    • Advanced Respiratory Assessment and Evaluations

    BayCare Health System, Respiratory Care Services-WCH

    Location: Wesley Chapel Hospital

    Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

    Shift Hours: 6:30pm-7:00am

    Shift: Shift 3

    Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

    Weekend Work: Occasional

    On Call: No
