Laurel Ridge Treatment Center is growing and hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses. Our -bed comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare Facility is located in beautiful San Antonio, Texas Our facility provides a nurturing, campus-style environment located on beautiful acres and features experiential options such as a swimming pool, gym, ropes course and more.

POSITION PURPOSE : Provides ongoing and systematic utilization review, coordinates patient care to optimize outcomes; advocates for patient and facility; and promotes quality care and documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

QUALIFICATIONS :

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Good verbal and written skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Some knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, Tricare standards. Computer skills and knowledge of basic case management/utilization review principles.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or High School Diploma with 5 or more years of experience in mental health field and utilization review.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LVN, RN, LPC or LMSW preferred.

EXPERIENCE: At least two years' experience in mental health setting with previous experience in Case Management/Utilization Review and discharge scheduling (preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Correctable vision and hearing.

Must be capable of occasionally lifting pounds and carrying medical records.

Must be able to write and record information, and accurately read medical records.

Must be able to spend % to % of time standing or walking between units. % to % of the time is spent sitting at a desk.

Telephone or public face-to-face contact is infrequent, but must be able to calmly handle frustrated or angry clients.
