    This role is Hybrid, based out of Austin, TX

    As a leader in the CPU design team, you will collaborate with various functional technical teams to develop CPU products that meet the business requirements. The ideal candidate will build and lead a design team to create CPU products that span a spectrum of design points and end markets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Technical leadership and management for a high performance OoO CPU design
    • Drive technical decisions and be responsible for the delivery of a CPU and its variants from microarchitecture through customer delivery
    • Create microarchitectural specifications and RTL implementation plans for functionality, timing, power and performance
    • Engage with CPU technical teams including architecture, design, verification, software, and platforms. Collaborate with business teams on feature and product definition
    • Engage with customers as required to understand detailed technical requirements
    • Invent and file patents on technical solutions to relevant problems as appropriate
    Experience & Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in EE/ECE/CE/CS or related field required; MS or PhD highly desired
    • Thorough knowledge of microprocessor architecture and micro-architecture including hands on expertise in one or more of the following areas:
      • Instruction fetch and decode, branch prediction
      • Out-of-order execution
      • Datapath
      • Memory subsystem, caches
    • Familiar with protocols such as CHI, AXI, CMN
    • Expertise in RTL design and converging high performance designs for performance, power, area and frequency
    • Knowledge of logic design principles along with timing and power implications
    • Knowledge of and experience with project tracking methodologies and techniques
    • Experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools
    • 10+ years' work experience in high performance, complex CPU design
    Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
    • Experience with designing and implementing a CPU based on RISCV or any other major ISA
    • Experience in designing and delivering CPU IP
    • Experience with hardware multithreading, virtualization, multi-cluster, and vector designs
    • Understanding of low power microarchitecture techniques
    Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
