- Technical leadership and management for a high performance OoO CPU design
- Drive technical decisions and be responsible for the delivery of a CPU and its variants from microarchitecture through customer delivery
- Create microarchitectural specifications and RTL implementation plans for functionality, timing, power and performance
- Engage with CPU technical teams including architecture, design, verification, software, and platforms. Collaborate with business teams on feature and product definition
- Engage with customers as required to understand detailed technical requirements
- Invent and file patents on technical solutions to relevant problems as appropriate
- Bachelor of Science degree in EE/ECE/CE/CS or related field required; MS or PhD highly desired
- Thorough knowledge of microprocessor architecture and micro-architecture including hands on expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Instruction fetch and decode, branch prediction
- Out-of-order execution
- Datapath
- Memory subsystem, caches
- Familiar with protocols such as CHI, AXI, CMN
- Expertise in RTL design and converging high performance designs for performance, power, area and frequency
- Knowledge of logic design principles along with timing and power implications
- Knowledge of and experience with project tracking methodologies and techniques
- Experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools
- 10+ years' work experience in high performance, complex CPU design
- Experience with designing and implementing a CPU based on RISCV or any other major ISA
- Experience in designing and delivering CPU IP
- Experience with hardware multithreading, virtualization, multi-cluster, and vector designs
- Understanding of low power microarchitecture techniques

This role is Hybrid, based out of Austin, TX
As a leader in the CPU design team, you will collaborate with various functional technical teams to develop CPU products that meet the business requirements. The ideal candidate will build and lead a design team to create CPU products that span a spectrum of design points and end markets.
