    Shulman Rogers is a full-service, 100+ attorney law firm with offices in Alexandria and Tyson's Corner, Virginia, with its main office in Potomac, Maryland. The firm supports regional and local clients and works collaboratively, across practice groups, to respond to all of their legal needs. This position is for our Alexandria office.

    Shulman Rogers' seeks a Legal Administrator with a medical malpractice background to join its Medical Malpractice/Personal Injury Department in our Alexandria office.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Draft and review letters, court correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, expert designations and other documents.
    • Organize and manage exhibits and documentation required at various stages of the case, including trial.
    • Conduct case intakes and interface with potential clients.
    • Schedule depositions, meetings, and court appearances.
    • Communicate directly and regularly with clients to gather essential information and provide case updates.
    • Collect, review and update medical records on a regular basis.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • A bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
    • 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in medical malpractice or personal injury.
    • Possesses or demonstrates the willingness and aptitude to acquire knowledge in medicine and dentistry pertinent to case matters.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort and skill in speaking with clients.
    • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to effectively use other litigation software.
    • Proven legal research skills; proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis or Westlaw is preferred.

    This position is located in our Alexandria, VA office.
