This position is responsible for supporting and monitoring all aspects of the expense process and controls. Responsible for the quarter-end expense process and variance to budget analyses.
Assist in all facets of the expense and budgeting process:
expenses, allocations and staff budgets. This is an opportunity to support the corporate expense function while building relationships across a global organization.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for quarter-end expense closing process
through timely submission of actual, forecasts and required analyses. Assist in the verification that all related expenses have been captured for the quarter within the General Ledger. Prepare and run the expense allocation process and required data loads. Prepare all appropriate schedules. Maintain existing expense process documentation.
Responsible for the preparation of expense reporting
for all local and Munich Re reporting requirements.
This includes preparing the schedules for comparison to budget and prior year, as well as investigating and documenting variances that exceed the acceptable limits.
Investigation involves reviewing the Budget Conformance Reports, running queries in SAP and/or communicating with business staff.Support the preparation, analysis and reporting of the annual expense and staff budgets.
Work with manager to provide assistance and guidance for the budgeting process to divisional specialists. Review expense requests and allocation changes for validation; review material variances with manager. Assist in preparation of annual plan exhibits.
Support expense analysis and special expense-related projects , as knowledge develops.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will possess the following experience, skills, and capabilities:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
4+ years experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferred
Knowledge and experience with expense process, financial process and business planning
Good systems background, including excellent knowledge of Excel, SAP a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills; Good communication skills
Disciplined and actionable:
Ability to effectively work in an environment with firm deliverables (requirements and timing)
