Lighthouse Lab Services is thrilled to present a laboratory in Southwest Alaska seeking Medical Technologists and Medical Technicians to join their expanding team

Providing Relocation Support (Starting at 15k) and Sign On Incentive (Up to $15k)

Role Overview:

• Conducts diverse testing in various departments (molecular chemistry, coagulation, hematology, special chemistry, urinalysis, serology) adhering to defined quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Performs, assesses, and records quality control and maintenance checks regularly (Daily, Weekly and Monthly) in all departments including temperature logs, disposal of old specimens, and rotation of specimen racks for storage.
• Evaluates testing results and verifies the accuracy of results compared to expected outcomes outlined in the procedure manual.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and calibrates equipment and instruments as necessary.
• Conducts inventories, replenishes reagents, calibrators, controls, and supplies as required. Preps, tests, and assesses new reagents or controls.

Profile of Ideal Candidate:

• ASCP/AMT certification required
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related field (or 24 credits in Chemistry/Biology as part of a biological science major) as mandated by CLIA.
• Flexibility to work additional hours or different shifts based on operational needs
• Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting
• Proficient in computer usage; Knowledge of laboratory information systems is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail coupled with effective communication and organizational abilities

Compensation/Benefits/Shift Details:

• MLT Salary - $37+/hourly
• MT Salary - $44.38+/hourly
• Comprehensive Benefits (401K, Health, Vision, Dental)
• Position offers Day Shift - Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
• Full-Time Role - 40 hours/week
