    Job Description
    Automation Machine Builder Responsibilities:
    o Read and Interpret Machine Layouts, Component Drawings, 2D & 3D
    o Safely operate forklift, paint booth processes, dial indexers, conveyors, x/y tables
    o Build/Assemble from machined components and purchased devices, industrial mechanisms, fixtures, automated assembly stations, and turn-key assembly systems
    o Build and wire control panels, HMI's, push button stations, junction boxes
    o Perform field wiring and pneumatic plumbing on machines in progress

    o Perform programming of PLC's (programmable logic controllers), smart relays, HMI's & torque controllers; as needed with our Controls Engineer.

    Able to make changes to programs. Will work with our Controls Engineer on projects so as to leverage resources.
    o Perform startup operational tests thru de-bug, and final demonstrations with the customer
    o Periodically travel to customer facilities to perform maintenance & repairs on delivered machinery
    o Manage direct and in-direct time efficiently
    o Keep work area clean and safe
    o Work with, train, and mentor upcoming Machine Assemblers
    o Follow & contribute to the ISO9001:2015 Quality Management program
    o Follow the safety policies of the company and work with an attitude of safety

    Qualifications:
    o Minimum of 4-5 years' experience as a Machine Builder / Assembler
    o Excellent spatial-understanding, knowledge of mechanisms, fit and alignment
    o Excellent knowledge of GD&T ( Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing )
    o Proficient knowledge of the application of precision slides, pneumatic valves, servo mechanisms
    o Have medium capabilities in programming PLC's (programmable logic controllers), smart relays, HMI's, torque controllers, etc. Able to make changes to programs & document changes.
    o Proficient knowledge of the application of switches and sensors (fiber optics, LVDT, limit, proximity)
    o Able to communicate clearly (speak, read, write) in the English language
    o Personal Integrity, Attention to Detail, Pride of Workmanship, excellent work habits
    o Works with behavior and attitude of safety, and use of PPE (personal protection equipment)
    Must own personal tools; hold current driver's license with clear driving record
    Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week

    Schedule:
    o 8 hour shift
    o Day shift
    o Monday to Friday
    o Overtime


    Experience:
    o Machine Building: 4 years (Required)
    o Mechanical knowledge: 4 years (Required)
    o PLC Programming: 2 years (Required)
    o Panel Building &
    Field Wiring: 3 years (Preferred)
