*This role contingent upon award*

*Must be able to reasonably commute within 10-15 mile radius to client site based in Chicago, IL. This is on-site work.*
*Must have strong proficiency in Azure Cloud.*
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Builds and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Disaster Recovery (DR) documentation, equipment and connectivity diagrams, and system documentation to include inventory of equipment, software/application license renewals, and server certificates.
· Advises, designs, and oversees the administration of server environment. Provides administration of Windows domain infrastructure, virtualization utilizing VMWare, to include DR Test/Preparedness and server OS & application security patching.
· Advises, develops, enhances, and mentors the management of 2-way trust Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS and DHCP. Distributed File Shares, Exchange Online/Office365, SQL Servers, SAN management, and administration.
· Designs and controls Virtual Machine templates that can be used to rapidly deploy virtual machines on Azure VMware.
· Mentors Systems Engineers and provide cross-training to ensure there are no single points of failure.
· Represents team in meetings as required for areas of responsibilities.
· Provide after-hour support as required to meet operational needs to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Expert level understanding of Windows Operating System: Server 2012-R2, Server 2016 and Server 2019.
· Expert level understanding of networking; subnetting, VLAN segmentation, and related routing and switching principles.
· Expert level understanding of the Microsoft Windows Server environment including Azure, Active Directory Group policies, Active Directory Domain Services, Active Directory Federated Services, SFTP, Server Certificates, DHCP, and DNS.
· Understands the Change Control process according to RRB Standards. Creates, Works, execute, and document change requests.
· Expert level experience with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Windows servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019
· Expert level experience keeping IT equipment and IT services running including troubleshooting and fixing IT enterprise issues such as Microsoft operating system, active directory, group policies, server, and hardware issues such as servers, and appliances.
· Expert level experience with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMware vSphere technologies: vCenter, and ESX/ ESXi.
· Expert level experience supporting Microsoft Azure virtual environment including installation, configuring, troubleshooting break-fix, and performing upgrades.
· US Citizenship Required. Active Public Trust Clearance preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
Education: Associate Degree or higher (Desired)
Certification: Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or Specialized Certification in VMWare and MCSA (Required).
Azure Infra Admin – Advanced Certification or Azure Solution Architect Intermediate (Preferred)
Equinix Certification is a major plus.
