    Job Information


    The Chemical Data and Analytics Engineer / Scientist is responsible for the delivery of information, analytics, and solutions for the business's chemical compliance program.

    With global responsibilities, you will work together with all business locations and our suppliers to support the regulatory submission strategy and identify and address submission risks and opportunities.

    You will develop and maintain processes for gathering supplier data to identify any business impacts from chemical restrictions or prohibitions.

    Location(s): Bismarck, ND; West Fargo, ND; Minneapolis, MN; Statesville, NC

    Role and Responsibility

    Develop a long-range plan for gathering and maintaining information related to chemical content in components used in the company's products
    Assist the company in understanding and carrying out chemical compliance activities such as product labeling, reporting, registration, etc.
    Continually collaborate with Engineering and Supply Management.
    Manage process to monitor and report any instances of security breaches
    Plan, drive, design, develop, document, measure, analyze and improve the data collection process and solution globally and regionally
    Create and manage product chemical compliance documentation.
    Develop and execute appropriate record retention policy for compliance documentation according to company policies.
    Generate responses to support inquiries from governmental authorities and customers
    Collaborate with industry groups and internal departments to participate in the regulatory and standardization processes
    Recommend new innovative solutions for supplier data collection and business intelligence (BI) & analytics
    Facilitate governance processes and solution standards of the chemical compliance database
    Establish collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders
    Define Program and Project plans necessary to reach roadmap goals, including
    Process and Integration scope
    Resource & competence requirements
    Project Budget approvals
    Serve on project implementation teams implementing alternative chemical substances
    Lead contractors performing maintenance support for the chemical compliance database
    Coordinate training sessions with the Solution Experts and Maintenance Support for internal and external stakeholders

    Job Requirement

    Bachelor's degree in engineering-related field (including Chemical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Aeronautical, Electrical, Environmental, and Computer, etc.); Computer Science; or Mathematics with appropriate experience in information management systems
    2-7 years of related experience
    Travel Standard Project Management experience implementing technological solutions
    Ability to review project deliverables for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards
    Experience with Internal Database Solutions, i.e. Microsoft Sharepoint and Teams, and highly computer literate
    Proven experience identifying and managing technical risks
    Experience with BI & Analytics- Ability to analyze and design processes for data collection and advanced analytics
    Understanding of design, manufacturing, and procurement processes
    Experience developing product requirements based on input gathered from variety of sources including analysis results and feedback from stakeholders
    Ability to develop test conditions and expected results based on the application requirements
    Ability to review project deliverables for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards
    Analytical mindset and problem solver
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    Willing to work with distributed and multi-cultural teams

    Desired

    Knowledge and working experience with Information Material Data Systems (IMDS), Compliance Data Exchange (CDX), or Assent Compliance or equivalent a plus
    SAP and/or Oracle ERP experience
    Understanding of chemistry, material science, and of applicable regulations, laws, and directives regarding chemical substances in the products
