- Drive the design and development of land development projects with a focus on grading and drainage design, low impact development (LID), and water and sanitary sewer design, contributing expertise and guidance through all project phases.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure an integrated and efficient project delivery, engaging with clients to understand their objectives and effectively communicate project progress and design solutions.
- Oversee and verify design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to project requirements, taking overall responsibility for the design of specific projects.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with design plans and specifications.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and contribute to their professional growth
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate within a teamwork environment.
- Proficiency in utilizing common computer software programs for civil engineering design, including AutoCAD, Civil3D, Hydrology and Hydraulic software, WaterCAD, and Flowmaster.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
- Demonstrated experience in land development, including design coordination, permitting, and construction administration.
- Familiarity with design coordination among various disciplines to achieve integrated project solutions.
- Ability to move around client and work sites, climb ladders, and traverse uneven terrain.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer, reviewing plans, or conducting site visits.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds of equipment or materials.
