, a business unit of the IDEX Corporation, is an engineering design and valve actuation company focused on Agriculture, Fire, De-icing, Oil, Marine, and Water Processing Industries. We specialize in low voltage actuated valves (that are waterproof and extremely durable) ranging in size from 1/4 inch to 6 inches. Our facility and staff design, engineer, assemble, and sell our finished goods. KZ Valve's sales channel is primarily direct to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and through a network of Authorized Stocking Distributors.
This position will work with a team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on product development and improvement with a focus on firmware development and circuit board design using a host of tools in our customer focused environment.
Key Responsibilities/Tasks:
Create, edit, and review electrical drawings including wiring diagrams, printed circuit board layout, and electrical schematics to support active projects and existing products.
Assist in prototype builds, testing, and production builds of new and existing products.
Assist in the creation of technical documents to support products.
Evaluate and troubleshoot electrical issues to reach root cause and present solutions.
Communicate in a professional and effective manner.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Be a positive team member with a good honest work ethic.
Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of the products and the industries KZValve serves.
Experiences and Qualifications:
Required:
Over 2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to design and analyze analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
Ability to design, model, and optimize control systems, including feedback and open-loop control systems.
Good electrical aptitude; Display ability in technical knowledge, critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal skills, and active learning.
Preferred:
Familiar with Ag Industry equipment.
Experience with OEM driven development.
Experience with PCBA design software, Altium or Fusion 360.
Experience in micro-processor integration into electronic components.
Knowledge of brushed DC motor systems.
Experience sourcing components from the global distribution channel.
Ability to manage projects including timeline, costs, and other deliverables.
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to effectively communicate throughout the organization.
Strong analytical ability to analyze and solve problems.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Able to perceive needs and work independently.
Data driven problem solving approach including root cause analysis.
Understanding of document control practices.
Education:
Electrical Engineering degree from a 4-year ABET Accredited College or University.

Less than 5 %
