    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cardio/Nuclear Med Technologist, Cardio Non-Invasive Department.

    In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for assisting the physicians in the delivery of safe, age-appropriate patient care during procedures in Nuclear Cardiology.

    Works collaboratively with the RNs and MDs in a Health team forum to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes and quality care.


    Job Responsibilities:
    Consistently complies with regulatory and WUH policies governing safety standards and infection control. Complies with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Nuclear (ICANL) Standards.
    Performs Nuclear stress testing, cardiac viability studies, calibrations and quality control procedures.
    Organizes the nuclear stress schedule. Responsible for maintenance and ordering of nuclear equipment and supplies.
    Produces accurate floods on cameras and diagnostic images for interpretation.
    Performs other duties as assigned
    Participates in updating and developing all policies and procedures for nuclear cardiology testing. Participates in the orientation of new employees as needed.
    Maintains all isotope records and properly disposes radioactive waste via the Hot Lab.
    Participates in cleaning the area before, during and after procedures. Ensures area is safe. Reports abnormal calibrations or images.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify, you must be a Graduate of a program in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Certified. Basic Life Support (BLS). Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and organization skills. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office). Full working knowledge of Nuclear Medicine equipment and Radiation Physics.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2 years experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, preferred.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

    The salary range for the role is $96, $117,978.02 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.

    The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
