Job Summary
Job SummaryThe Director of International Partnerships and Exchange Programs will provide leadership, management and development of all Jindal School international initiatives involving both industrial and academic programs. This position includes responsibility for, maintenance of and continued development of study abroad opportunities, faculty-led study trips and international partnership agreements. For international partnerships, this position is expected to develop new partnerships and identify international internships for Jindal students.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in managing global programs and will demonstrate proven leadership, strong oral and written communication skills and have prior supervisory experience. This position will serve both the Jindal School's undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related progressive experience.

The essential duties and responsibilities for a Director of International Partnerships and Exchange Programs:
Developing and Implementing Partnership Strategies : Formulating strategies to establish and enhance partnerships with international institutions and universities aligned with the goals and mission of the school.
Negotiating Agreements : Negotiating terms and conditions of partnership agreements, memorandum of understanding (MoUs), and exchange programs with partner institutions, ensuring mutual benefit and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Managing Existing Partnerships : Overseeing existing partnerships, maintaining communication with partner institutions, monitoring progress, and identifying opportunities for expansion or improvement.
Identifying New Opportunities : Continuously researching and identifying potential new partnership opportunities to broaden the organization's international reach and impact.
Coordinating Exchange Programs : Planning, coordinating, and implementing international exchange programs, including student exchanges, faculty exchanges, research collaborations, and internship programs.
Budget Management : Developing and managing budgets for international partnership initiatives, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
Cross-Cultural Communication : Facilitating effective communication and collaboration between international partners, addressing cultural differences and promoting understanding.
Compliance and Risk Management : Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and legal requirements related to international partnerships and exchange programs. Mitigating risks associated with international collaborations.
Monitoring and Evaluation : Establishing metrics and mechanisms for monitoring the effectiveness and impact of international partnerships and exchange programs. Conducting periodic evaluations and making recommendations for improvement.
Promotion and Outreach : Promoting international partnership opportunities within the organization and externally to attract potential partners. Representing the organization at conferences, seminars, and networking events.
Collaboration : Engaging with internal stakeholders such as academic departments, administrative units, and senior leadership to align international partnership initiatives with organizational goals and priorities. Collaborating with other departments to integrate international partnerships and exchange programs into broader institutional initiatives.
