    Anesthesiology Opening in Poughkeepsie, NY

    • General, ortho, neuro, vascular, ENY, thoracic, GYN, hearts (no transplants).
    • No peds except for ENY/MRI and Dental, with small case load

    • 350-bed facility. 294 private patient rooms, 30-room intensive care unit, network of 23 surgical suites, and 66 exam and treatment rooms in the emergency and trauma center.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
    • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
    • Pre-anesthesia assessment
    • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
    • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
    • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
    • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

    Requirements

    • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
    • ECFMG and FLEX
    • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
    • Currently licensed as a physician

    Compensation Details

    • General Call-taking Anesthesiologist: $475K with 6 weeks of PTO
    • Night Float Anesthesiologist: $525K; No

    PTO:
    7 days a week with 26 weeks on/off schedule


    • Per-

    Diem Anesthesiologist:
    $250/hour


    • 1099 Anesthesiologist: $275/hour
