- Hold a current and valid license in the state of Alabama or completed an accredited university program with a pending final examination and licensing.
- Comply with the APTA Code of Ethics.
- Follow guidelines associated with patient confidentiality (HIPPA).
- Able to communicate effectively with patients, families, co-workers, and other health care professionals.
- Perform the physical tasks required of a manual physical therapist.
- Be proficient in performing the clinical duties of a licensed physical therapist as outlined by the Alabama State Practice Act and the APTA to include but not limited to initial evaluations, patient treatments, re-evaluations, discharges, and clinical supervision of PTA's and Aides.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation that complies with state laws, company quality assurance standards, and insurance regulations.
- Knowledge of and adherence to the vision and strategic plan of NTS, as well as the policies and procedures as outlined by the Employee Handbook.
- Possess traits of a lifelong learner, including active participation in the NTS mentoring program, co-treatments as the schedule allows, and willingness to attend on-site and off-site continuing education courses offered outside of normal business hours.
