    Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for a

    Lead Process Engineer

    to join our mining team in Eastern Canada.

    We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Lead Process Engineer to be based in our Toronto office that is ready to provide solutions for our mining projects.

    Someone with a strong gold and base metals background with experience in detailed engineering, construction, commissioning and/or operations will be well suited for this role.


    About the Role:


    Lead a process engineering team to develop process deliverables during studies as well as basic and detailed engineering project phases to produce process design criteria, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment sizing, specification development, mass, and energy balances in line with project requirements and Ausenco Standards.


    Contribute to the delivery of multidiscipline engineering design by liaising with other engineering disciplines, across the organization and with clients, during the preparation of engineering deliverables.

    Stay abreast of latest process technology developments.

    Budget and resource forecast management for the process study scope.

    Liaise with, and contribute to, the Global Ausenco Process Team.

    Contribute innovation and lean thinking into process designs.

    Represent Ausenco's Corporate image (marketing and conferences).

    Demonstrate leadership in industry safety protocols.

    About you

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent

    P.Eng. or eligible to be licensed in the Province of BC


    A minimum of 10 years' experience in mineral concentrator and/or hydrometallurgical plant design in study delivery (scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility, trade-offs, basic and detail engineering); gold, silver, copper, base metals, and battery metals (nickel, lithium, cobalt) processing preferred.

    Proven field experience (construction, commissioning and/or operations) a benefit.

    Experience in a consulting engineering capacity.

    Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills.

    Demonstrated ability to communicate and coordinate technical issues with clients.

    Proven ability to work as part of a team.

    Demonstrated initiative and ingenuity in providing engineering solutions.

    Ability to effectively translate field and engineering experience to other process staff and design activities.

    Demonstrated capacity to align with Ausenco's corporate culture and client base business cultures.
