    argenx is seeking a Global Equity Incentive Lead who will report to the Global Head of Reward & Recognition. This role involves spearheading the implementation, administration, and communication of equity-based compensation programs, including Stock Options, RSUs, ESPPs, and other equity incentives. The primary responsibilities include ensuring that employees comprehend their equity benefits, adhering to legal and regulatory mandates, and supporting, aligning, and implementing equity incentive compensation with the organization's overarching reward, talent acquisition, and retention strategy.

    Responsibilities

    Plan Design and Implementation:

    • Assist RemCo & Board Requests in developing the structure, eligibility criteria, and vesting schedules for various equity grants in alignment with the company's Remuneration Policy, Principles & Philosophy.
    • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and HR to design & implement equity compensation programs that align with the organization's goals & cultural values.
    • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of equity compensation programs and make recommendations for improvements or updates based on industry trends, including End-to-end change management.
    • Responsible for Internal Training of HR, other relevant teams & the organization's people leaders on equity compensation topics to ensure consistent communication and support for employees.

    Employee Experience & Education:

    • Educate employees about equity compensation, explaining the different types of awards, vesting schedules, taxation implications, and how to manage and exercise equity options. Create materials, workshops, and resources to help employees understand their equity benefits.
    • Assist employees with inquiries related to their equity compensation, including exercise decisions, tax implications, and ownership inquiries.

    Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:

    • Ensure that equity compensation programs comply with all relevant global applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including securities laws and tax regulations. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review and update equity plan documents as needed.
    • Support the periodical revision of the company's Remuneration Policy, Remuneration Report, and incorporation of ISS / Glass Lewis / Institutional Investor feedback including but not limited to the European SRD, Pay Transparency Directive, etc.

    Center of Expertise:

    • Provide Expert support to HR / Talent Acquisition, including but not limited to the recruitment of Senior Executive positions.
    • Equity Grant Administration, managing the process of granting equity awards to eligible employees.
    • Coordinate with Finance, HR, Legal & Payroll teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of equity grants.

    Financial Reporting, Analysis, Vendor, and Third-Party Management:

    • Collaborate with finance teams to accurately report and account for equity compensation expenses in financial statements.
    • Analyse the impact of equity grants on the organization's financials and forecast future expenses.
    • Generate reports and summaries for management, legal teams, and auditors as needed.
    • Manage relationships with third-party vendors that provide technology platforms, brokerage services, and record-keeping for equity programs. Ensure accurate and secure management of equity-related data.

    Profile

    • Holds a Master's degree in Law or Business Economics.
    • Brings over 6 years of relevant experience, with a background that includes consulting roles in renowned firms such as the "Big 4" or equivalent.
    • Demonstrates adeptness in handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
    • Values teamwork, exhibiting a collaborative and proactive approach towards tasks.
    • Thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, displaying accountability and efficiency.
    • Possesses a solution-oriented mindset, embracing challenges with a "can-do" attitude.
    • Proficient in advanced numerical analysis and Excel usage.
    • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.

    • This position can be based in Ghent or Boston, with other locations also open for discussion, as well as remote work.
