The Iowa Clinic has an exciting opportunity to be a part of a team that will open our new musculoskeletal-focused ambulatory surgery center.Responsibilities
- Delivers patient care consistent with established professional nursing standards and surgery center policies and practices.
- Gather pertinent medical history and provide concise instruction for pre-operative, PACU (postoperative anesthesia care unit) and post-operative care in the OR and Cath Lab while maintaining pace of abbreviated patient encounters and keeping patient flow in mind.
- Observes patients for side effects of anesthesia and monitors patient`s level of consciousness throughout the sedation recovery.
