    The Maintenance Mechanic manages various housekeeping and clean-up tasks to ensure ongoing maintenance of production areas of the foundry. This role will handle maintenance duties in a safe, efficient, and quality manner at all times. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor of the shift.


    What You'll Do:

    • Be familiar with all tools associated with the repair and maintenance of all company equipment, including calipers, depth micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement tools
    • Perform all tasks associated with mechanical P.M.s without assistance
    • Repair or replace all pneumatic or hydraulic fittings, hoses, valves, regulators, gauges, filters, etc.
    • Repair or replace all PVC coolant plumbing and components
    • Ability to operate manual drill presses, lathes, and mills to perform simple repair tasks to repair machinery
    • Knowledge of a welder for light repairs and fabrication
    • Collaborate and assist other mechanics in tackling more difficult repairs with supervision to increase job knowledge and understanding
    • Possess the basic hand tools necessary to perform job assignments and agree to improve tool selection as job responsibility increases
    • Follow safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
    • Must maintain a good attendance record

    What We Need From You:

    • High school diploma or GED preferred
    • One to two years of manufacturing experience preferred
    • Electro/ mechanical background/ experience
    • Working knowledge of AC and DC circuits and systems
    • Knowledge of good electrical safety habits and PC operation
    • Knowledge of electrical codes, as related to installations, basic hydraulics, and pneumatics a plus
    • Knowledge of control devices, high voltage maintenance, and troubleshooting a plus
    • Required to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, background check, and respirator fit test
    • Ability to stand, bend, twist, kneel, walk for 10+ hours, push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds, and work in an extreme hot environment
