The primary duties of the S ystem Protections and Studies EIT/Designe r position are to perform engineering tasks with varying levels of complexity related to electrical transmission, substation, and distribution system protection concepts.

These tasks would be assigned and managed by a Senior Engineer or Project Manager.

Conduct analyses, calculations, and develop recommendations associated with electrical system protection concepts including but not limited to:
Electrical system models development, evaluations, and/or updates.
System event analyses.
Equipment ratings evaluations.
Perform routine engineering and design tasks and participate in field reviews or construction observation.
Work under the direct supervision of a Senior Engineer or PM.
May work independently on small tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.
