- Preparing monthly payroll to include initiating the payroll process, checking accuracy, and preparing associated payroll reports, tax reports, and tax deposits.
- Maintaining general ledger accounts, including subsidiary ledgers, is required to balance the assets and liabilities for SRT Communications subsidiary companies. This includes preparing the appropriate monthly fixed and general journal entries.
- Processing monthly financial reports, such as the monthly balance sheet, income statement, and report on changes.
- Leading and providing direction to accounting clerks, assigning appropriate responsibilities and delegating duties as warranted.
- Maintaining a general filing system for safekeeping financial accounting records and computerized accounting reports, records, and worksheets.
- Preparing monthly/quarterly statements for customers and maintaining accurate account records.
- Preparing quarterly tax reports; assisting with preparation of 1099s for applicable estate and general retirements of capital credits.
- Maintaining work orders, continuing property records (CPRs), and supporting documents required to balance plant assets for parent company and subsidiaries. This includes preparing appropriate monthly fixed and general journal entries.
