    A Global Specialty Materials Manufacturer is seeking a

    Process Engineer

    for their Headquarter located in the Kenton County. This is a permanent, hands-on opportunity with lucrative compensation and benefit package.

    This Process Engineer reports to the Head of Operations and support the high volume of manufacturing processes including injection molding, blow molding, extrusion processes, lead capex projects and identify opportunities of process improvement and develop, validate new process.

    Responsibilities:


    Report to VP of Operations and oversee the day to day manufacturing process and quality compliance on injection molding, blow molding, extrusion.

    Monitor, analyze production process to identify issue and opportunity of improvement, reduce product and process variation using Six Sigma and SPC methods, ensure products are manufactured per the manufacturing procedures and validated processes developed to meet customer expectations.

    Reduce loss, shorten lead-time, and implement CI projects in batching and blending process to improve productivity and quality, continuously modify, improve and optimize existing process through variation reduction.

    Provide ongoing process improvement across suppliers, production, equipment reliability, provide hands-on mentoring and training to operators and other internal customers on changes, improvement, etc.

    Support RCA, 5S and Corrective Action plan to reduce quality issues, further prevent recurring issues.
    Support new product development, determine materials changes and capital projects, develop new processes to accommodate new product launch.

    Collaborate with Maintenance Team, Electrical Engineer and Process Reliability Engineer on CAPEX projects such as upgrade, modification, and develop design specifications for new CAPEX acquisition; collaborate with CAPEX suppliers throughout the life cycle of CAPEX projects.

    Provide leadership and mentorship to peer engineers and production team as needed.
    Ensure manufacturing process, raw materials, suppliers, finished product and overall quality follow ISO9001.
    Travel to domestic plants and international plants to support international business units as needed.


    Qualifications:
    bachelors Degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering is a plus and Six Sigma Certified preferred.
    5+ years of tenure as a Process Engineer, Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer within plastic industry is a must.
    Recent work experience with plastic molding process.
    Knowledge with CAPEX projects, design and reliability.
    Solid leadership skill and has the aspiration to become Plant Manager or Engineering Manager for succession planning.
    Experience with SPC, 5S, Six Sigma, CI, RCA and CAPA.
    Proficient in Microsoft Suit, MINITAB, AutoCAD.
    Open to travel up to 5%, domestically and internationally.
