    Job Summary and Qualifications

    • Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care. As a team member, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors and other employees
    • Champion HFPH's mission, vision and values; comply with the policies and procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct set forth by the company
    • Answers the telephone in a timely and professional manner.
    • Schedules all patients for surgical procedures through the Meditech scheduling module.
    • Maintain knowledge of the scheduling reports for the next day to ensure department readiness in the event of any unscheduled Meditech down-time
    • Select the correct patient medical record number consistently
    • Implements and follows system downtime procedures when necessary
    • Performs duties as assigned for clerical support of the Surgical Services department including, but not limited to, maintain accurate agendas and meeting minutes, organizing and distributing mail and department correspondence, maintains and orders supplies.
    • Attends in-services presentations and complete mandatory education
    • Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement"
    • Perform duties in an organized and efficient manner: organizes workload, reliable with follow through of assigned duties, able to set priorities, adapts to change in ways that promote cooperation, and coordinates activities with other HFPH department.
    • Accountable for maintaining and improving job knowledge and skills, demonstrates complete knowledge of assigned duties, readily masters new routines, methods, policies, and procedures, participates in mandatory education, contributes new ideas, demonstrates knowledge of safe work practices and computer skills.
    • Supports HFPH policies, goals, and objectives, reports to work as scheduled and adheres to attendance policies, willing to work variable hours and overtime if required, prevents waste of resources, obtains all required employee tests as scheduled, maintains open communication with department Director and staff.

    What qualifications you will need:

    • High School Graduate / GED
    • Minimum two years experience in a healthcare environment preferred
