    Role: Behavioral Therapist for Children and Families

    Job Description

    Position Summary

    Requires providing behavioral therapy for individuals aged 3 to 21, offering training to parents and families, and ensuring personalized service delivery to meet the needs of both the child and the family. Responsibilities include assisting with self-help skills, social and safety education, and consistent reporting on program progress to the relevant parties.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent along with a minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare, educational, or recreational setting. Candidates with a degree in psychology, social work, or special education are preferred. Must have a background check clearance from the Department of Youth and Families and be capable of working independently.

    Essential Functions

    • Implement home-based therapy goals
    • Provide socialization opportunities
    • Document progress and communicate with stakeholders
    • Advocate for self-advocacy principles
    • Attend meetings and training sessions
    • Support program participants in various activities
    • Ensure compliance with quality standards
    • Report incidents as necessary
    • Perform assigned duties
