- Prepare daily cash log of payments used for posting and applying payments.
- Maintain and issue YTD Cash logs.
- Post and apply daily cash receipts in the Great Plains system.
- Book bank transaction journal entries for non-premium cash deposits.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation in Great Plains to ensure all cash deposits agree to the bank statement.
- Participate in the preparation of the Weekly Cash Receipt report.
- Review broker backups and help resolve unapplied and unidentified cash.
- Send emails out on unapplied cash.
- Research and resolve unidentified cash receipts.
- Prepare and post debit/credit memos to apply cash as needed
- Prepare and submit RP requests when needed to refund money to brokers
- Provide backup support for colleagues and auditors as needed.
- Perform special projects as requestedRequirementsBusiness and/or Accounting Degree 3-5 years of experience
- Team Player
- Proficient in Excel
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to identify and suggest ways to improve existing processes
- Must be proactive in resolving problems.
