    Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Department Manager in our Brookshire Market Distribution Center.

    If you are a proven leader in warehouse management, inventory control, process management, work-shift coordination, and are organized with great communication skills, this is the position for you

    This position oversees a team of hourly associates working a Weekend Shift schedule of
    4, 10hr days.

    Schedule:
    Friday – Monday beginning at 6:00AM (Tuesday - Thursday off)


    Responsibilities

    • Directly oversee daily department operations shipping, receiving, picking or parcel according to business needs
    • Manage and lead associates effectively and build an engaged, satisfied team
    • Supervise and coordinate accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperwork
    • Ensure warehouse space is used effectively and kept clean and orderly
    • Provide guidance and direction to team members in proper operating procedures
    • Communicate with team regarding status of shipments and changes to schedules
    • Research and resolve issues involving purchase orders
    • Ensure that all documentation, freight claims, and correspondence with HQ are promptly completed with attention to detail
    • Promote safe work practices and resolve all safety concerns as identified
    • Establish and communicate performance standards to associates
    • Lead team in continuous improvement initiatives
    • Conduct counseling, mentoring, and performance appraisals as indicated
    • Provide recommendations for selection of new associates to join the team
    • Participate in regular communication and meetings of DC leadership to coordinate shift activities
    • Data driven decision making

    Qualifications

    • 5 years' management experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
    • Supply chain distribution experience preferred but not required
    • WMS and LMS experience preferred
    • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • Leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Good judgment and decision-making abilities

    Pay Range:
    -$4, $9,529.30
