    Internal Communications Manager
    The

    Internal Communications Manager


    is responsible for managing the flow of internal communication that is targeted to staff to update and improve aspects of communications infrastructure, tools, channels, and employee email engagement.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Act as a vision partner, thought leader, and implementer of an overall framework and strategy to build upon the internal communications team
    Manage a diverse portfolio of projects, while being responsive to multiple audiences and stakeholders
    Manage direct report, including performance feedback, for the internal communications team
    Creates, manages, and disseminates content that promotes events, exhibits, awards relevant to team member and DMCR on the organizational level
    Serves as the key point of contact for Internal Communications to field inquiries from team members or members of management
    Partners closely with other members of management to share information and news
    Collaborates on the shaping of a strategic communications calendar of events and happenings
    Ensure accurate and precise communication distributed via Internal Communications
    Manage multiple projects lead by Internal Communications or projects where Internal Communications is a stakeholder
    Communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff and internal constituents and stakeholder
    Guide and develop reporting staff with career and performance growth
    Work with Senior Manager to provide data related to internal communications and its utilization, effectiveness for Senior & Executive leadership
    Work with other departments in Human Resources to assist in branding, surveying and other projects to ensure smooth collaboration within HR and effective communication
    Develop initiatives, strategies or technological advancements to increase internal communication
    Performs other duties as assigned by management

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, Education, Public Affairs, Public Administration, or related area, required
    Master's Degree in Business, Communications or related field, preferred

    Experience:
    3+ years of progressively responsible, professional experience in strategic internal communications, including 2 years of lead or

    supervisory/project

    supervision experience with indirect report experience.

    Credentials:
    Project Management Professional, preferred
    Professional Certified Marketer, preferred
    Strategic Communication Management Professional, preferred

    Knowledge and Skills:
    Communications and writing for accessibility with a general audience
    Principles and practices of integrated, strategic communications in large organizations
    Public relations and public affairs principles
    Internal Marketing principles
    Project management principles and practices
    Multiple modalities of distributing information, including webpages, emails, and notices
    Writing for a general audience in an accessible style;
    Developing and managing projects
    Preparing a variety of communications materials that can be strategically tailored for a multitude of channels and platforms
    Developing and maintaining relationships with internal constituents and clients
    Navigating complex situations with multiple agendas
    Facilitation of group communications processes
