    Description


    The Data Engineer will be responsible for the design, build, and maintenance of scalable data management systems, with a focus on the Snowflake data warehouse hosted on Azure.

    This person must ensure that these systems align with business requirements and industry best practices, integrate cutting-edge data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures, with a particular focus on API development for data integration and accessibility, develop processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production, and create custom software components and analytics applications.

    Additionally, this person will use a variety of languages and tools to integrate systems together, with a strong emphasis on developing and maintaining APIs for system integration and data access, recommend improvements in data reliability, efficiency, and quality, and collaborate closely with IT & Data Team members to achieve project goals and ensure seamless API integration.

    Certifications in Snowflake and Azure platforms.


    • Experience with data integration and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
    • Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred.
    • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Database Administrator, or similar role.
    • In-depth understanding of Snowflake's cloud data warehouse architecture.
    • Experience with Azure cloud services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, etc.
    • Proficiency in SQL and experience with SQL analytics.
    • Experience in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
    • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline construction.
    • Familiarity with data modeling and warehousing principles.
