- Manage quality databases for the manufacturing facilities
- Identify areas in the business where quality documentation is missing or needs improvement; draft the documents as identified
- Review and approve documentation utilized in the quality system
- Certify trained employees for specific job functions
- Perform gage calibration at all facilities
- Draft receiving, in process, and final inspection plans and lay-up sheets
- Determine conformity issues stemming from out of calibration gages, perform corrective actions for non-conforming gages, and purchase replacement gages
- Audit internally to AS9100 and FAA requirements
- Perform conformity inspections
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient Computer Skills (MS-Office)
- Layout Inspection - Ability to inspect parts utilizing manual gage - understand inspection instructions
- Inspection Methods - Understanding of manual gauging, CMM inspection, and new automated technology
- Print Reading - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, datum structures, and process dimensions
- GD&T - Ability to read and interpret GD&T symbols and callouts
- Root Cause Analysis - Ability to develop a plausible root cause and implement effective corrective action
- Raw Material Processing - Ability to understand the processing of raw materials (castings vs. )
- Materials - Basic understanding of material characteristics (Aluminum, Steel, Titanium, )
- Process Flow Diagrams - Ability to create and maintain a Process Flow Diagram

Job Summary
Hartzell Propeller seeks a Quality Assurance Technician to operate to, continuously improve, and implement proper Quality Assurance policies and procedures for our manufacturing facilities.

Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; 5 years' experience in a quality role.
