    Responsibilities


    • Problem solve to address delays, emergencies, or other issues
    • Meeting with customers and daily communication on their project
    • Ensure all change orders are being executed properly for any change during the course of the project
    • Schedule inspections as needed for each project
    • Follow all company procedures and practices
    • Be able to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and project manuals
    • Meet with the accountant to do a comparison of budgeted vs actual costs of each project
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of pertinent communication
    • Work with our managing software- Buildertrend (training provided)
    • Clarify the scope with clients, engineers, construction managers, and architects to produce an accurate list of project specifications, including manual labor needs and necessary materials
    • Plan and schedule the entire construction project, including construction operations and timelines to make sure project deadlines are met
    • Supervise general contractors and laborers and provide direction when needed to ensure the job is high quality
    • Establish organizational processes for tools, equipment, and vehicles and arrange for maintenance as needed
    • Provide the cost estimate of the construction up front and accurately control the budget throughout the project
    • Acquire the appropriate licenses and permits from the corresponding authorities and ensure construction is up to code
    • Prevent injuries, slowdowns, and project risks by demanding complete adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites, and reporting safety regulation issues promptly

    Qualifications


    • Highly organized and attentive to detail
    • Takes pride in the quality of work being done on the project
    • Able to work under pressure and deadlines
    • 5+ years of experience in construction (field experience a plus)
    • Excellent time-management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills
    • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles
    • Familiarity with construction project management software is highly valued
    • Minimum 1 year of work experience in construction management
