Zantech is looking for a SQL Systems Engineer to lead all the support for the multiple Microsoft SQL databases for this upcoming Army program.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

This person will ensure that the team updates and maintains software and security patches for both COTS and in house software, all operating systems and hardware for both on-prem and cloud environments.
Ensure operational availability of SQL database services is integrated with the least possible downtime, some of these databases with sensitive information are encrypted.
Ensure all planning, change management and testing are completed with supporting documentation, team/client communication and with minimal downtime.
Metrics are updated, maintained and provided.

Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:

10+ years' experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline
IAT II Certification - CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP
Advanced MS SQL 2008 R2 Administration
Configuration and Tuning, Advanced Windows 2008R2 tuning for MS SQL 2008R2
Intermediate/Advanced Windows 2008R2 Administration and Configuration
Advanced DISA Gold, Army Gold Master configurations on MS SQL 2008 Databases
Intermediate App Detective MS SQL 2008 scanning and remediating according to Industry best practices

Required Security Clearance:

Active SECRET or higher clearance based on contract requirements
