CHS is seeking a thoughtful, skilled marketer and excellent communicator with a track record of building relationships with stakeholders through compelling, engaging marketing plans and content.
This role will plan and execute marketing programs/promotions and advertising for our CHS ag retail locations in South Dakota, Minnesota and Illinois.
We're looking for someone who is energized by the opportunity to create marketing communications plans and campaigns with content that will cover multiple media from digital marketing to traditional print advertising.
The winning candidate will be able to quickly build connections with a wide range of audiences from our retail customers to internal decision-makers.
This position is for a self-driven, energetic, experienced marketer with the ability to collaboratively plan and execute with multiple stakeholders.
We are looking for candidates with proven creative thinking, competent understanding of retail marketing tactics and the desire to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment with effective collaboration and teamwork.
This is a remote position with up to 25 percent travel to locations in South Dakota, Minnesota and Illinois.Responsibilities
⦁ Function as a collaborative member of the CHS Ag Marketing and Communications team to execute and develop marketing materials to reach farmers and ranchers.
⦁ Plan and execute promotional marketing plans and duties for CHS ag retail locations who handle grain, agronomy, fuel, feed and seed.
⦁ Coordinate channel communication and trade advertising tactics for CHS ag retail locations.
⦁ Plan and implement marketing strategies as you drive customer campaigns and communications.
⦁ Brainstorm, develop, implement and execute programs and promotions to drive sales growth at CHS ag retail locations.
⦁ Manage multiple annual advertising and marketing budgets.
⦁ Work as one CHS with regional marketing and communications partners and enterprise marketing and communications team to enhance and further distribute what has already been created.
⦁ Create and implement digital marketing plan to promote ag retail locations on existing digital platforms including website, Facebook, Instagram and other digital platforms such as e-newsletters, texting platforms, etc.
⦁ Create relevant retail marketing content for existing business unit communication channels such as print newsletters and radio advertisements.
⦁ Coordinate retail marketing efforts with other CHS enterprise strategies and priorities such as MyCHS.
⦁ Understand and represent CHS enterprise strategies and priorities in all marketing and communications efforts.
⦁ Follow and help refine approval processes to ensure content meets business objectives, follows appropriate editorial style guidelines and meets brand standards.
⦁ Create and share regular reports on campaign and content performance.
⦁ Collaborate with CHS and freelance photographers/videographers to plan and deliver imagery, produced videos and other audiovisual products to support business objectives and augment company stock image and footage libraries.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
High School diploma or GED
2+ years of experience in Communications and/or Marketing
Additional Qualifications
Four-year degree in marketing, marketing communications or related field.
⦁ Minimum 1-2 years of experience in marketing-related field
⦁ Familiarity creating and managing content across multiple (web, mobile, social, print) platforms.
⦁ Strong customer service skills and effective time management
⦁ Excellent communication, collaboration and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail
⦁ Broad knowledge of web content development, digital publishing, e-mail and social media best practices.
⦁ Experience working with various departments, including customer relations and sales teams.
⦁ Experience operating independently and executing flawlessly on the strategic and tactical levels.
⦁ Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
Experience managing marketing campaigns with a proven track record of managing deadlines, budgets and vendors
⦁ Experience drafting video scripts and providing creative video direction
⦁ Subject matter experience and/or expertise in agriculture and/or food supply chain sectors
⦁ Resides in South Dakota or Minnesota
⦁ Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.
