**Position Summary**

Our client, a major utility company located in Melvindale, MI, is seeking a skilled Clerk with data entry experience to join their team. This contract position offers a starting pay rate of $20/hour with benefits available and is eligible for extension or direct hire for the right candidate.

The position will follow a hybrid schedule, with Mondays and Fridays designated for remote work from home, and Tuesdays through Thursdays requiring onsite presence at the Allen Road facility. Please note that only candidates residing in the metro Detroit area will be considered.

**Responsibilities:**

Look up company work orders and accurately input necessary data.
- Sort, maintain, and update files alphabetically or numerically.
- Answer telephones and relay messages.
- Perform other clerical duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

High School Diploma or Equivalent is REQUIRED.
- Minimum of 1 year of data entry experience is REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of basic software functions, including MS Word and MS Excel.
- Excellent spelling, punctuation, proofreading, and grammatical skills.
