Internship Purpose

News Corp is looking for a Security Engineering Intern. This intern will work with the Securing Engineering team to assist in designing, developing, and deploying solutions that support cyber security's overall mission.

Intern Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing cyber security metrics and/or reporting for the Security Engineering team.
• Assist in qualifying or quantifying risk surface area.
• Assist in reviewing product fit for new applications in the Security Engineering team
• Drive timely execution of key projects or initiatives in your area of focus
• Support the team with tasks that will improve the delivery of cyber security solutions

Specific Project Deliverables:

• Assist with risk service area assessment to determine moment-in-time estate risk.

Qualifications:

• Targeting a career in Cyber Security
• Background in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Network Security, Information Assurance, Information Systems, etc
• Rising Juniors currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university or technical/finishing school
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
• Operates as a team player and has an intellectual curiosity
• Ability to prioritize and to work under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail
• Basic/Intermediate Python experience

Pay Range: $15 to $18 per hour
