    Boddle Learning is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Game Server Side Engineer to bolster our team.


    This role is perfect for those who have a deep passion for gaming and a strong background in server-side development, particularly in the context of educational or interactive gaming experiences.


    REPSONSIBILITIES:


    Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in Computer Science or a related field, and 5 years' progressively responsible experience as a software developer or a related field.

    Experience must include the following specific experience and skills:

    Design and implement server-side logic for our gaming applications.

    Optimize server performance to handle high volumes of traffic.

    Ensure the security, integrity, and robustness of the game's back-end infrastructure.

    Work closely with game designers and front-end developers to implement complex game features.

    Develop APIs and services that provide functionality to front-end game features.

    Manage database operations related to game functionality, including player data, game states, and more.

    Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server-side game functionality.

    Continuously research and implement best practices for server-side game development.


    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in server-side development, preferably in the gaming industry.

    Strong proficiency in server-side programming languages like Java, C++, , or similar.

    Experience with database management and caching mechanisms.

    Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and server management.

    Understanding of server security principles and DDoS mitigation strategies.

    Experience in developing multiplayer or online game features.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Experience with real-time communication protocols and networking for games.

    Knowledge of server-side game engines and frameworks.

    Experience in building scalable, high-traffic game servers.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

    Self-motivated with a strong sense of prioritization.
