    Physician / Psychiatry / Michigan / Locum Tenens Opportunity

    The Psychiatric Medical Unit is a comprehensive inpatient behavioral health unit treating patients with both medical and psychiatric conditions.

    About the Position:

    • Work 2 weekends a month as a locum psychiatrist for Adult Inpatient services in southwest Michigan.
    • Possible availability for week-long coverage (LOA, vacation coverage, etc.)

    In this role, you will be responsible for completing initial psychiatric assessments for newly admitted patients and daily rounding on all assigned patients. You will work alongside an APP who will divide rounding responsibilities. The unit has a highly trained nursing staff, social workers, and discharge coordinators to support your work.

    The catchment area for the PMU is the entire State of Michigan, and there is often a waiting list for admissions. To qualify for this position:
