    **Medical Front Desk/Receptionist (Active Life) (Mission Viejo, CA)**

    **Location:** Mission Viejo, CA

As a pioneer of some of the most advanced prosthetics available including the C-Leg microprocessor knee, the bebionic hand and the C-Brace KAFO, Ottobock has been a leader in the O&P industry for over 100 years.

    We are looking for a Medical Front Desk/Receptionist at our Mission Viejo, CA location. The position is a full time, nonremote, Monday through Friday with lunch from PM. Duties include those that are customary to a medical front and back office such as receptionist tasks, authorization processing, insurance benefit checks, data entry etc. Specific responsibilities and skill set includes but are not limited to:

    **Duties and Responsibilities:**

    Answer phone calls from patients.

    Check office voicemail/email.

    Provide great customer service by answer and/or refer patient inquiries and schedule appointments with the appropriate staff.

    Verify patient information (including, but not limited to, insurance, authorizations, prescriptions, and demographics).

    Maintain patient files by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.

    Collect patient charges.

    Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information, authorization processing/entering/modification, and contributing to the general cleanliness and organization of the office.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    **Minimum Qualifications:**

    High School Diploma required. Some college or degree preferred.

    One (1) year of medical office experience.

    Proficient written and spoken English.

    Proficient written and spoken Spanish (preferred not required).

    Accurate and proficient typing skills, including a WPM of at least 40+. Must complete typing assessment.
